Montgomery County Celebrates Improvements at Elton N. Dean, Sr. Park
MONTGOMERY, AL — November 7, 2026
The Montgomery County Commission celebrated improvements at Elton N. Dean, Sr. Park Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Vice Chair Commissioner Carmen Moore-Zeigler, District 2.
The improvements include a new ADA-accessible fishing pier and expanded walking paths connecting both park pavilions, providing easier access for visitors with disabilities and families.
The project was funded primarily through a Transportation Alternatives Program grant, covering 80% of the cost, with Montgomery County providing the remaining 20%.
The improvements reflect the county’s commitment to accessible recreation and enhancing residents’ quality of life.
